Their mission is to empower students with resilience, leadership skills, and a strong sense of well-being, laying the foundation for a brighter future in the diverse landscape of the high desert.
Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI):
Student Behavioral Health Incentive Program (SBHIP) The Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) aims to create an innovative system in California that offers behavioral health services to all children and youth aged 25 and below, regardless of their payer status. The Student Behavioral Health Incentive Program (SBHIP) incentivizes Managed Care Plans (MCPs) to partner with schools, expanding mental health services for students.

School-Linked Partnership Capacity Grant:As part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI), DHCS is launching the school-linked partnership and capacity grant program to provide COEs and LEAs, as well as institutions for higher education, with critical resources to promote utilization of the CYBHI statewide multi-payer school-linked fee schedule.

Transforming Together (T2) Grounded in the Governor’s Master Plan for Kids Mental Health and the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative Ecosystem Working Paper, this three-year integrated systems demonstration project strives to improve student behavioral health and well-being through coordinated implementation of California’s Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) and the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).
